Southern community stands proud and stands out at Alabang Town Center
Filed Under Events | Leave a Comment
Exciting changes are unfolding as Alabang Town Center gives you more of what you love about Southern Manila’s premiere shopping, dining, and entertainment destination. With the new wing and the Corte de las Palmas expansion now open, there’s plenty of room to celebrate all things outstanding at Alabang Town Center.
To usher in its new offerings, Alabang Town Center mounted OutsTOWNding, a series of community talent showdown that showcased the South’s musical and artistic skills and brought out the cream of the crop.
OutsTownding started with a blast on October as future hit makers rocked out at the Town Plaza in a band competition. The big winners were Lady Ransom from Southridge International (grand prize), Not Applicable from De La Salle University (1st runner-up), and Violente De Santo from UP Diliman (2nd runner-up).
November saw young solo dancers and dance crews taking center stage in a dance-off at the Activity Center. Dance crews bust a groove while solo acts showcase their personal styles as they pirouetted and free-spun their way to victory. The grand prize winner in the group category was the Brent Dance Troupe. Meanwhile, Majah Annika Resuello from De La Salle Zobel (grand prize), Warren Van Santos from San Beda College Alabang (1st runner-up), and Elle Arevallo from Manresa School (2nd runner-up) emerged victorious in the individual category.
Music filled the air in February as the Activity Center hosted a show choir contest. Community show choirs performed their favorite pop medleys. The show choirs of Muntinlupa Science High School (grand prize), Southernside Montessori (1st runner-up), and Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati (2nd runner-up) stood out with their vocal prowess.
Finally, in March this year, future fashion icons paraded their collections in a fashion styling tilt featuring fashion forecasts of styles for summer. Young stylists and their five models composed of friends and family participated in the fearless fashion showdown. The fashion upstarts were mentored by creative director and fashion columnist Luis Espiritu and directed by noted fashion director Jackie Aquino. Jeff Galang (grand prize), Angela Munoz (1st runner-up), and Nikki Valenzuela (2nd runner-up) emerged as the tilt’s big winners.
All winners went home with cash prizes, gift certificates and a major boost in their rising careers with media exposure in Jam 88.3, Pulp Magazine, and Meg Magazine.
OutsTOWNding built up to a celebration of what makes the community loud and proud — with a lot of exciting things in store for the winners.
Manila’s southerner’s stand out and astound at Alabang Town Center, where an already outstanding life can only get better!

The event gathered village leaders in an afternoon of sharing of insightful ideas on community involvement, specifically in combating environmental problems. Engr. Ramon Fernandez, Village Manager of Ayala Alabang Village Association (AAVA), talked on Excellent Village Management Practices, with focus on governance, security, community development, and disaster preparedness. The activity is the first in a series of lecture-seminars that SISC will conduct in its aim to partner with the different communities to promote awareness for the protection and conservation of the environment.
