15,115 public school students in Las Pinas graduate for free
Around 15,115 public elementary and secondary students in Las Pinas enjoyed subsidized graduation rites last month.
This was the report coming from Las Pinas City Hall as Mayor Vergel Aguilar reportedly said that he wanted to help the children and their parents enjoy their graduation and make it a very memorable occasion.
An allocated amount of P190 per graduate was allotted for the toga, meals as well as transportation allowance.
“This is not only to be in compliance to DepEd’s directive of no graduation fee but also to help and provide relief to parents during these times of economic difficulty,” said Aguilar.
Honor students also received cash incentives not lower than P2,000.
Students were also given free snacks and transportation during their graduation days.
