Apat na ang patay at halos 200 ang tinamaan ng dengue sa Las Piñas City mula Enero hanggang Hulyo.
Sinabi ni Dr. Eleazar Natividad, Technical Section Head ng Las Piñas City Health Office, mas mababa pa naman ang nasabing bilang kumpara noong nakaraang taon.
Sa kabila nito, mas pinatindi pa rin nila ang pagpuksa ng mga lamok na nagdadala ng dengue kung saan pinupuksa na nila ang pinangingitlugan nito.Tinuruan na rin ang mga public school science teacher sa pagmomonitor sa mga pinangingitlugan ng lamok gamit ang larvae trap.
Nagsagawa na rin ang lokal na pamahalaan ng community education at lecture sa mga guro at principal.
