Another “Basag Kotse” modus victim cries foul in Las Pinas

Another broken car window. Another broken into car.

In Las Pinas City again.

In a Facebook post last Sept. 9, Rena Toleda posted photos of her car with the broken window.

In her post, she said that she just parked her car in a fastfood chain in Las Pinas when she suddenly discovered what happened.

This is the second time in a week that a car had been victimized by the so-called “Basag Kotse” modus.

The first one was in McDonald’s Pamplona I (please see what happened here).

This time this happened in McDonald’s Casimiro (the one near Southville International School).

According to her status update, her bag with her personal belongings was stolen but that only her perfume was really worth something.

We are hoping fastfood restaurants beef up security in their parking areas and here’s to hoping as well that the Las Pinas Police strengthen police visibility in the city.

For now, let us all be extremely careful. Make sure to lock your car doors. Park in well-lit areas. Don’t leave your valuables inside your cars.
