Another type of Holy Week sacrifice as Maynilad announces no water for 5 to 30 hours for some areas

Maintenance issues.

This is their reason yet again.

Due to “maintenance issues”, some parts of Metro Manila will experience no water supply during Holy Week.

According to Maynilad personnel, they will be conducting several water network enhancement activities including facility maintenance works, pipe decommissioning, pipe interconnections and valve replacements from April 16 to April 20.

Affected areas include Paranaque, Las Pinas, Pasay, Quezon City, Malabon, Valenzuela  and Navotas.

In a statement, Maynilad Water Supply Operations head Ronaldo Padua explained that the service interruptions will differ per area but for people to just expect their area to either experience just the five hour interruption or up to 30 hours of no water.

“The activities will be done during the Holy Week when fewer customers are expected to be home, thus lessening the impact of the service interruptions on water consumers,” Padua further expressed.

So prepare those pails and share this with your family members and neighbors too.
