Drug personality nabbed, P2 M drugs seized in Las Piñas

Anti-drug police nabbed a suspected drug personality in a buy-bust operation which also led to the seizure of P2 million worth illegal drugs and several pieces of live ammunition in Las Piñas City on Saturday.
The suspect was identified by police as Daniel Fernandez. His alleged cohort, on the other hand, was identified as a certain Edgardo Enriquez who was able to evade arrest.
Investigation showed that the operation was launched at around 9:20 a.m. along Rosendo St., Saint Joseph Subd., Brgy. Pulang Lupa 2 Las Piñas City.
Members of the Special Operations Unit Follow-Up Section (SOU-FUS) of the Las Piñas City Police conducted a drug sting operation wherein they were able to purchase illegal drugs from the suspect which led to his arrest.
Police recovered more or less 300 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P2,040,000 and 50 pieces of caliber .45 ammunition.
The illegal drugs believed to be shabu was brought to the Southern Police District Crime Lab for chemical analysis while Fernandez is temporarily detained at the Las Piñas City Police Station Custodial Facility.
He will be facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA 10591 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
