Free viewing of Pacquiao-Marquez IV in Paranaque!

Parañaque residents will have a chance to view for free “live via satellite” on Dec. 9, 2012 (Phil. time) courtesy of this city’s LGU, the fourth match-up between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

The free showing of the fight was made possible through arrangements with franchise holders, service providers and barangay officials by Youth and Sports Adviser Carlo Bernabe, TMO Chief Louie Perez and Councilor Benjo Bernabe.

The designated public viewing venues are Baclaran Elem. School-Central, Don Bosco and Don Galo Gymnasiums and P’que City Hall grounds.  Inquiries regarding admission (tickets) may be made with host barangays or the Youth and Sports Development Office at 2/F Parañaque City Hall.

“We stand by the People’s Champ not only because Manny has bought fame and honor to the country but also because he is an adopted son of Parañaque. We will pray for his success and cheer for him in all his fights.” Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe said.

In 2005, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Parañaque enacted Resolution No. 05-024 adopting Manny Pacquiao as a son of the City of Parañaque in recognition of his achievements and considering that he has real estate properties in the city.
