Las Pinas City Hall distributes 100 e-trikes to TODA members
Mayor Imelda “Mel” Aguilar (center) led the turnover ceremony of the 100 E-trikes to the driver beneficiaries who are members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) from different barangays of Las Piñas City.
Those who availed of the E-trike are from Barangay Pilar, Talon Dos, Pamplona Tres, Talon Singko, Almanza Uno, and Pulanglupa Uno.
The E-trike project is a partnership between the City Government of Las Piñas and the Department of Energy (DoE).
It is part of the campaign of the city government to achieve an environment-friendly mode of transportation as an alternative to the gas-fueled tricycles.
The use of the E-Trikes aside from being clean and energy-efficient will help lessen carbon dioxide emissions that contribute to air pollution.
Before the turnover held at the Las Piñas City Hall grounds, the drivers have undergone training from the representatives of BEMAC Electric Transportation, the manufacturer of the E-trikes.
