He also assured the new batch of graduates of continuous support, including making available at the school campus the conduct of evaluation tests necessary to acquire the certificate equivalent to trade testing, usually given at the TESDA main center or at accredited schools but with higher fees.
Visual Graphics and 3D Animation graduates who pass the assessment test will be issued NC III, while Computer Hardware Servicing will have NC II.
“We are committed to give you opportunities to free education and I urged you to make the most of it for you and your family’s better future,” Aguilar told the scholars. Created in 2008, DFCAITTI is another priority program of Aguilar to accommodate graduates of the city’s public high school who failed to enroll at the Dr. Filemon C. IT school graduates have found employment through the city’s Public Employment Service Officer or through DFCAITTI’s partnership with industry movers, while others have put up their own computer shop or visual arts business.
Aside from free tuition, Aguilar said students likewise will have free rides going to school to ease the burden of parents for their transport fares.
Tricycle operators in Barangay Pamplona III were commissioned by the city government to provide free rides to the IT scholars.
