LP City Hall inaugurates ladies dormitory inside city jail

Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar(3rd, right), together with Vice Mayor Luis Bustamante and April Aguilar(left), led the inauguration of the Women’s Dormitory of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BMJP) – Las Piñas City.

The city government constructed the new women’s dormitory to help decongest the Las Piñas City Jail. The dormitory occupies the whole fourth floor of a building located at Las Piñas City Hall Compound. It has a floor area of 636 square meters and can accommodate triple deck beds. It is also equipped with kitchen, toilet and bath.

Last year, BJMP –NCR awarded the Las Piñas City Jail Female Dormitory as one of the top ten jail dormitories for its initiatives in jail management.
