LTFRB issues hotlines vs abusive PUV drivers at Christmas rush
From gmanetwork.com:
With the Christmas rush now starting to peak, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has issued hotlines and social network handles to receive complaints against abusive or snobbish public utility vehicle drivers.
But the LTFRB indicated those making their complaints via Twitter may have to provide extra details of their complaints.
“LTFRB handles all PUV-related complaints. You may report it via Twitter, Facebook or call our hotline numbers – 4262515, 4262501, 4262519, 9248510,” it said.
For those tweeting their complaints: it said they may have to download and fill out a form to provide more details of the abusive driver.
The LTFRB urged these complainants to fill out the form and send it toochm.ltfrb@gmail.com.
“LTFRB conducts initial investigation of all complaints forwarded. However, we need your cooperation in order to expedite the processing of your complaints by providing the necessary details on this form,” it said.
Complainants can also read an overview on how LTFRB complaints are handled.
The form asks complainants to give the following information:
- Name
- Contact number
- Address
- If willing to attend hearing if needed
- Type of service (PUJ, PUB, taxi)
- Plate number
- Place of incident
- Violation (contracting, overcharging, arrogant, refusal to convey, fast meter, no flag down, hit and run, threatening passenger, reckless driving, discriminating passenger, or refusal to grant discount).
