Man shot dead inside Ayala Alabang

MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE) A 61-year-old man was killed when he was shot in the head allegedly by his adopted son inside their house at the posh Ayala Alabang Village in Muntinlupa City Saturday afternoon.

Superintendent Eleazar Matta, Muntinlupa police chief, said Emmanuel Castillo, of Acacia Street, Ayala Alabang Village, sustained a gunshot wound in the head and was declared dead on arrival at the Asian Hospital.

The suspect, Erick Castillo, 38, the victim’s adopted son, was taken under police custody.

Initial investigation showed that the incident happened around 5:25 p.m.

Matta said they were still investigating to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
