Metro Manila mayors junk Odd-Even Scheme

Apparently, we voted for the right people. Haha.

The mayors, in an executive session today, voted unanimously in not approving the revival of the Odd-Even Scheme in EDSA.

One of the reasons the mayors gave was because it is nearing the holiday season and motorists might not be ready for the change.

Other mayors said that the Odd-Even Scheme would just transfer the vehicle congestion onto the side streets and therefore be pointless.

They however decided that the number coding scheme for public buses be brought back starting Nov. 15.

Mayors Jun Bernabe (Paranaque), Aldrin San Pedro (Muntinlupa) and Nene Aguilar (Las Pinas) were not present during the meeting.
