Muntinlupa residents can now enjoy a free movie every Friday at the Philippines’ smallest lake.
The Muntinlupa City government through its cultural and tourism office has the “Movie by The Lake” that aims to invite people to watch movies at the Jamboree Lake, toutest as the country’s smallest, at NBP Reservation in Poblacion, Muntinlupa.
Last late last month, the project’s first free movie showing featured “The Night at The Museum 2.”
The Muntinlupa City government installed a big screen near the lake where moviegoers have the comfort of enjoying the free film viewing.
It aims to promote Jamboree Lake as one of Muntinlupa’s historical sites among tourists.
Jamboree Lake is located in the premises of New Bilibid Prison reservation, which also houses the tourist sites like the Japanese Cemetery and Bureau of Corrections administration building.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said he is committed to revive and preserve Muntinlupa’s cultural heritage.
The 2011 movie “Red Riding Hood” was screened last night.
