Multipurpose employees cooperative members group in Paranaque getting stronger
With more city employees expressing interest in joining the organization, the City of Parañaque Multipurpose Employees Cooperatives (CPMEC) recently held another pre-membership orientation at the Chowking branch in Santana Grove in Brgy. San Antonio, this city.
CPMEC Chairman Engr. Armando Arsenio, Vice-Chairperson Amalia Martin, Board Director Joycelynn Aman, Board Secretary Ma. Meda Amor and Board Member Raymar Ylagan handled the orientation, discussing in length the organization’s policies, rules, by-laws and benefits.
“Our constituents have benefitted greatly from the cooperative movement as it continues to be a key element in Parañaque’s socio-economic progress. I support the cooperative movement and I urge the citizens to do the same.”, Mayor Bernabe said.
Considered as one of the most active cooperatives in the city, the CPMEC has also organized 6 blood-letting sorties this year. For its efforts in helping establish a sufficient blood supply which is essential in medical emergencies, it was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation by the City Health Office for its contribution to the National Blood Services Program.
It also won awards in last year’s search for the city’s outstanding cooperatives including Best in Capital Build-Up; and Best in Member Education. It was also declared 2nd Runner-Up in the Outstanding Cooperative Micro Category.(Public Information Office)
