Munti LGU targets to distribute 4,200 PhilHealth cards to indigent families
By the end of 2018, the local government of Muntinlupa targets to distribute around 4,200 PhilHealth cards to indigent families in the city.
Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi led the kick-off ceremony of the distribution of PhilHealth cards to initial beneficiaries at Ayala Malls – South Park, Brgy. Alabang last August 3. Around 600 registered beneficiaries attended in the Card Distribution program.
Fresnedi said the local government allotted 10 million pesos budget this year to sponsor indigent families with health care through the “Alaga ka, Para sa Maayos na Buhay” program of Social Services Department.
“We are committed in providing access to health care for Muntinlupeños and assisting residents with medical subsidies,” the local exec added.
Residents may register at the PhilHealth Satellite Office located at G/F Main Building, Muntinlupa City Hall, National Road, Brgy. Putatan.
In addition, the Ospital of Muntinlupa (OSMUN) implements Online Rapid Enrollment (ORE) for PhilHealth. OSMUN enrolls non-PhilHealth member patients to the health care service for their inclusion of health benefits. Muntinlupa City is the first LGU to adapt the system.
As of 2017, OSMUN have registered 1,650 patients admitted in the LGU-funded tertiary hospital. The local government also assists residents for hospital subsidies through multi-channels.
Under the Socialized Medical Assistance Program, Muntinlupa LGU has assisted 1,092 beneficiaries of the PCSO “At Source Ang Processing,” 1,635 beneficiaries of DOH Financial Assistance, 33,763 beneficiaries of the City Government’s Mayor’s/Councilors/Brgy Chairmen’s Guaranteed Letters, among others.
