Muntinlupa City Hall receives smoke meter from DENR

Owners of smoke-belching vehicles in Muntinlupa, beware!

This, as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources recently donated a smoke meter to the local government last week.

Represented by Air Quality Division Technical Support Specialist Romy Capulong, DENR reiterated their support to local government units when it comes to clean air.

Muntinlupa Mayor receives the smoke meter from DENR.

Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi was present during the turn-over ceremonies and was happy to receive the smoke meter which coincided with the city’s flag raising ceremonies.

The mayor extended his gratitude to the DENR for providing additional equipment to conduct local emission testings in the city.

Muntinlupa consistently generates Good Air Quality in DENR’s Air Quality Index among LGUs in the National Capital Region.

Now, the city can test more vehicles and issue citations to those violating the Anti-Smoke Belching Law.
