Muntinlupa City Hall to provide FREE shuttle rides to cemeteries

To continue what they have been doing the past few years, the Muntinlupa City government will once again be offering FREE shuttle rides to the cemeteries within the city to provide all of its constituents an opportunity to visit their loved ones this All Soul’s Day.

Led by Lourdes Ampaya and her staff from the Mayor’s Office, they are working closely with Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau chief Danidon Nolasco, Muntinlupa PNP chief Sr. Supt. Dante Novicio, Public Order and Safety Office’s Maj. Manny de Guzman, RESCUE-DRMMO’s Annalyn Mercado, City Health Office’s Dr. Magdalena Meana, Environmental Sanitation Center’s Lorna Misa, CSO’s Efren Villanueva and other agencies who were kind enough to lend their vehicles for the project.

Called “Oplan Kaluluwa”, the project will start on Oct. 31 with a first shift of 6am to 2pm then a second shift of 2pm to 10pm.

According to the Muntinlupa Public Information Office, Oplan Kaluluwa will comprise of 19 Flexi-trucks, 12 Electronic Jeepney — both will be traversing National Highway (Sucat up to Tunasan).

The City Bus will be assigned in Susana Heights for those coming and going to Everest Memorial Chapels.

“Aside from the free rides, there will also be free water served to cemetery-goers,” added City Hall.

The Community Affairs and Development Office chief Dado Moldez will also be giving away free candles while nurses from Ospital ng Muntinlupa will also be going around to make sure all medical emergencies will be taken care of.
