Muntinlupa employees get their bonuses too!

Christmas will come early for employees of the Muntinlupa City government as Mayor Aldrin San Pedro announced Sunday that they will receive their 13th month pay and cash gift today (Monday, Nov. 23).

“I have ordered the Treasury Office to immediately release the benefits to our employees,” he said. In May, Mayor San Pedro released half of the 13th month pay and cash gift to the employees.

What they will receive today is the other half. “The release of the benefits will allow city government employees to prepare earlier for Christmas,” he said.

In a related development, employees of the city government are also preparing to usher in the Christmas season in the city. The traditional giant Christmas tree at the city hall quadrangle is being set up.

“Christmas celebration in our city will be simple and meaningful this year given that thousands of residents have been devastated by the recent typhoons,” he said.

He said the Christmas celebration in the city will focus on giving and sharing especially for the affected families.

“My heart goes out to all the families who have lost their homes and properties. We will make their Christmas more meaningful,” the mayor said.

The city government has been working double time in helping affected families. Up to today, there are still areas in Muntinlupa along the Laguna Lake that are still submerged in flood.
