MANILA, Philippines – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has lauded the city government of Muntinlupa for being the most efficient locality in Metro Manila when it comes to public service, based on an anti-red tape survey conducted recently.
Mayor Aldrin San Pedro was also cited for his political will and leadership and awarded the Anti-Red Tape Act Report Card.
CSC director Ma. Victoria Salazar said that among 16 cities in the National Capital Region (NCR), only Muntinlupa scored a passing mark in a survey conducted by the agency’s agents who posed as clients in city hall offices to personally assess their public service delivery performance and ask residents on their views and opinions about the city government.
Muntinlupa garnered 93.1 percent overall satisfaction rating and 91.1 percent grade in providing frontline services with satisfactory ratings in knowledge and competence as well as in fairness and ethical treatment.
Among the aspects considered were speedy transaction, physical set-up, and basic facilities provided to city hall clients.
Salazar and CSC-DOST field office director Dick Echavez said the award given to San Pedro “is an imprimatur of discipline instilled by a motivated leader and his people.”
“I give credit to the hardworking and motivated people in our effort to give our constituents the service that they deserve. We’re also taking on the CSC’s challenge to continue this tradition of excellence every year,” San Pedro said.
