Muntinlupa receives firetruck named “Tsunami” from Japan
MUNTINLUPA CITY ACCEPTS “TSUNAMI” FROM JAPAN. Muntinlupa City fire fighters test the capacity of “Tsunami,” a 40-meter ladderized fire truck and the 2nd most advanced of its kind in the Philippines donated by Fujisawa City, Japan to Muntinlupa City. Major Roderick Aguto, Chief of Muntinlupa City Fire Department, and the Muntinlupa City Council received the modern fire truck from Michihiro Mita, President of Fujisawa Shonan Lions Club during the acceptance ceremony at the Fire Station in Alabang. Muntinlupa City also has “Skywalker,” a 17-storey ladderized fire truck and the most advanced fire fighting machine in our country. Muntinlupa City acquired both “Skywalker” and “Tsunami” during the administration of Muntinlupa City Mayor Aldrin San Pedro.
