Muntinlupa is now in a strong position to be a more competitive mega-city in Metro Manila because of streamlined policies for the business sector.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi said the Muntinlupa City government has exerted efforts to revitalize the city’s economy.
He said the primary thrust of his administration is to make the city business-friendly
When I assumed office in July 2013 my primary thrust was to turn Muntinlupa City into a business-friendly city, continue the improvements, and innovate ways to attain that goal, he said.
One of his efforts resulted in shortening the six-step Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) for the renewal of business permits to just three steps.
Under the six-step BOSS, a businessman has to pass through an examiner, endorsement, billing, payment, approval and release of the documents for the intended business in the city.
The mayor shortened the process to only pass the examiner, payment, and approval or release of the documents.
