New operating hours for LRT
Starting September 15, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will shorten operating schedules of LRT lines 1 and 2 by one hour, as part of the maintenance of its facilities.
Government-run dzRB radio reported Saturday the schedule will affect the LRT-1 (Monumento to Baclaran) and LRT-2 (Santolan to Recto).
Starting Wednesday, the last train from Baclaran station will leave at 9:30 p.m., while the last train from Monumento will leave at 10 p.m.
The last train from Santolan in Marikina will leave at 9:30 p.m., while the last trip from Claro M. Recto Avenue in Manila will leave at 10 p.m.
LRT operations had been extended last March 4, after a clamor for longer hours. LRT 1 and 2 serve mainly students and employees.
According to the LRT Authority website, the first trains start operations at 5 a.m. on weekdays. — LBG, GMANews.TV
