No to Road Rage; Defensive Driving Seminar in Barangay Ayala Alabang

Barangay Ayala Alabang wants to contribute to ridding the streets of road rage. Hence, a Defensive Driving Seminar.

According to Barangay Ayala Alabang’s Jol Espiritu-Cruel, interested villagers and BAA residents can drive their way this Saturday, Sept. 11, 1:30pm to the Barangay Social Hall, Basilan St. for the seminar.

Other activities Barangay Ayala Alabang is offering are the following:

Basic Computer Literacy – this week – Monday to Friday, Sept 6-10, 5-9 pm, AAVA Community Center, Narra St.

Free Legal Consultation – Beginning September 2010, residents may seek legal advice every Saturday from 8 to 11 AM at the Barangay office. Atty. Luis De La Paz, a partner at the Gonzalez Batiller David Leabres & Reyes Law Office will provide free legal consultation.

Benefits for Disabled Residents – In accordance with the DOH’s Persons with Disabilities Program, disabled residents must fill up the necessary registration form at the Barangay office in order to avail of benefits similar to those of Senior Citizens (i.e. 20% discount on medicines, groceries, etc.).

Free Ultrasound Service – The Barangay Council has recently acquired a brand-new Ultrasound machine which will be operational in October 2010. This free service may be availed at the Barangay Health Clinic on Basilan St., District 2.

Birthday Gift for Senior Citizens – Residents who celebrate their 70th to 74th birthdays beginning October 2010 may now claim a 1,000 peso check as a birthday gift from the Barangay Council!  Those turning 75 and above may continue to claim a 2,000 peso check on their next birthday (Note: an ongoing project) . Recipients must be Registered Voters of Brgy. Ayala Alabang.

Free Emergency Hospital Transport – In the event of a medical emergency, residents may use a free transport vehicle that will bring them to any of the nearby hospitals such as Asian Hospital, Perpetual Help, etc. However, please note that no doctor will be present nor any emergency medical treatment will be provided during the transport. To avail of this service, residents must call the Barangay office at 8072472 or 8421114.

    Hi, I am speed. I saw your comment above and asked our Brgy. Sec Dodie Matanguihan and he says that you are welcome to attend. However, please note that the event is actually a free benefit for Brgy. Ayala Alabang residents only. But he says if you will be coming alone, he doesn’t see why it would be a problem.
