A series of police operations conducted in Parañaque City over the weekend resulted in the arrest of six suspects, three of whom have standing warrants of arrest, and the seizure of 22 motorcycles.
Sr. Supt. Ariel Andrade, chief of Parañaque City, identified the suspects as Darwin Valde Leon, 25, Arlyn Tangarurang, 38, Nenita Alvarado, 39, Digay Andig, 49, Freddie Garcia, 52, and Domingo Mostrales, 67.
Andrade said Leon has a standing warrant of arrest issued by Judge Brigido Arternon Luna of the Parañaque Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 196 for his involvement in a robbery case, while arrest warrants against Tangarurang and Mostrales were for issuing bounced checks and issued by Judges Marianito Santos and Violeta Parena of Parañaque City Metropolitan Trial Court.
Andig was apprehended for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, while Garcia and Alvarado were nabbed for drug offenses.
The police chief said the series of operations conducted form part of a large-scale campaign against crimes dubbed as “One Time, Big Time.”
The six suspects are detained at the Station Investigation Division cell.
Meanwhile, police officers are now coordinating with the Land Transportation Office to determine the owners of the 22 motorcycles.
