Paranaque Police and Fire departments on heightened alert this Holy Week

Parañaque Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. has instructed the P’que PNP headed by P/Sr.Supt. Billy Beltran to increase its mobile and foot patrol routines during the Holy Week in which period many residents make their retreat to their home provinces.  The P’que BFP headed by Fire Marshall F/Supt. Manuel Manuel was also given instructions to keep its alert status.
     Apart from increased police visibility, the local PNP will also set up citizen assistance desks at SM Sucat in Brgy. San Dionisio and at SM Bicutan in Brgy. Don Bosco and at churches in the city including  the Redemptorist Church in Brgy. Baclaran, St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Brgy. La Huerta and St. Anthony de Padua in Brgy. San Antonio, among others.
     In addition, motorist assistance centers will be put up along the Coastal Road in coordination with the Public Estates Authority Toll Corporation (PEATC).
     “We want to make sure that visitors, motorists, residents and their homes are safe during the Holy Week rush and this is why we have ordered the local protective services to heighten their alert status.”Mayor Bernabe said.

     Meanwhile, the local chief executive urged the residents to take fire safety measures and secure their homes if they are all going to their home province.
