Police Officer shot dead in Muntinlupa

A police official was shot dead inside his SUV last night along National Road in Muntinlupa City.

Chief Inspector Ernesto Eco suffered multiple gun shot wounds to his head and body as he was on his way out of his village near Barangay Poblacion in Muntinlupa.

Witnesses said that a riding in tandem was again responsible for the shooting.

According to reports, Eco was supposed to be in Maguindanao where he was reassigned recently.

The police is currently finding out why he was back in Metro Manila.

In a report in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Eco was said to have been the one to expose the non-release P2,400 meal allowance during the Papal visit when he was still NCRPO Holding Administrative Office head.

Police are still investigating on the motive of the murder.
