Pque’s 5th Most Wanted caught

Parañaque City Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. commended the city’s police force as it netted another big fish in its ongoing campaign against crime with the arrest of Erick Marigondon who is the fifth most wanted criminal in the city.

     The arrest of the suspect was made possible through a warrant of arrest for violation of RA 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Act) issued by RTC Branch 274 Judge Fortunito Madrona for Criminal Case Number 10-0672 and the efforts of the Parañaque Police force headed by P’que Police Chief P/SSupt. Billy Baldemor Beltran.

     According to police reports, upon receiving information that Marigondon was spotted roaming along Quirino Avenue, P/SSupt. Beltran instructed Chief of Intelligence PCInsp Michael Chavez to conduct surveillance/monitoring operation on subject.

     On September 21, 3:30 pm, Intelligence personnel led by PCInsp Chavez were dispatched with the goal to apprehend the suspect.  After patiently waiting, Marigondon was seen at a nearby vulcanizing shop, prompting police operatives to collar the suspect.

     The suspect Erick Marigondon whose true name is Roderick Marigondon is presently detained at the Parañaque City Jail.

     Police operatives who were involved in the arrest of the suspect are P/CInsp Michael Chavez, P/SInsp Leonardo Madrid, SPO2 Sergio Antonino, SPO1 Raymundo Gabriel, SPO1 Herbert Paus, PO3 Regalado Adriatico, PO3 Rolando Gelacio, PO3 Roberto Jovenir, PO3 Cesarie D. Soquina, PO3 Danilo Bautista, PO2 Michael Bodegas and PO3 Ariel Ilagan.

     “The arrest of one of the top criminals of this city shows the effectiveness of our police force and its diligent efforts in fighting crime. We commend the Parañaque PNP for a job well done.”  Mayor Bernabe said.
