Pre-dawn fire hits hundreds of houses in Las Pinas; Call for donations set

A predawn fire gutted hundreds of houses at Barangay Talon Dos in BF Resort, Las Piñas City on Wednesday, November 2.

About 800 houses were destroyed, affecting approximately 1,600 families, radio DZBB reported.

Preliminary investigation indicates the fire started from the house of a certain Eduardo Angeles, radio DZMM reported.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire and the estimated cost of damage.

The fire broke out at around 3:00 a.m. and reached Task Force Alpha at 4:20 a.m. Task Force Alpha requires the assistance of up to 16 fire engines from neighboring cities of Makati, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Pasay and Taguig based on the Bureau of Fire Protection’s guidelines.

The fire was extinguished at around 7:32 a.m.
