Registration is on for Run for TB in Paranaque on March 27

In line with the celebration of the World TB Day this month, the Parañaque TB Task Force Federation (PTBTFF) of the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and the World Vision, in association with the City Health Office of the Local Government Unit of Parañaque, organized a fun run for a cause.
    The activity aims to heighten the awareness of citizens on the importance of Tuberculosis prevention, early detection and proper treatment, likewise to raise funds for the activities of the PTBTFF which are directed towards the eradication of pulmonary tuberculosis in the city.
    Slated for March 26, 2011, Saturday, “Run (Walk) for a TB-Free Parañaque”, will start at 5:00 A.M. at SM City Sucat Building A parking area in Brgy. San Dionisio enroute to Parañaque City Hall in Brgy. San Antonio, this city.  
   “I invite and encourage everyone to participate in this event. This run is not only for fun or fitness but for a noble cause, principally towards our vision of a TB-Free Parañaque.”, Mayor Bernabe said.
     Registration fee is P150.00. Registrants will be entitled to a snack and a refreshing drink; they will also be given an activity T-shirt. To inquire or to register, please call the Moonwalk Health Center at Tel. 822-4815.
    A connecting activity follows at the Parañaque City Hall grounds after the fun run. It will feature, among others an update on the Parañaque TB Program.
