SBC-Alabang sweeps WVL games

Manila, Philippines – San Beda College-Alabang swept all four assignments in Group B of the 13-Under Developmental Division with Saint Pedro Poveda as its last victim recently, 25-17-25-23, to make the quarterfinals of the Best Center-organized, Milo-sponsored 17th Women’s Volleyball League.

St. Scholastica’s College, however, scrambled with two victories to also join the quarterfinals with three wins against a loss after a walk over St. James Academy and a 25-10-25-23 triumph over Saint Pedro Poveda Academy.

They will join Group A quarterfinalists St. Joseph School of Fairl view, which defeated La Salle College-Antipolo, 25-25-8, for a clean 3-0 sweep; and St. Joseph’s Academy of Fairview, which walked over Assumption College for its second win in three games.

Group saw Colegio San Agustin-Makati sweeping all three assignments following a 25-14, 27-25 blasting of School of St. 2 Anthony. It joined its victim in the quarterfinals as SSA finished well at 2-1.

St. Paul College-Makati walloped Baesa Adventist Elementary School, 25-13, 25-14, for its fourth straight win and a quarterfinals seat in Group D, where it was joined by Holy Family School, which routed Assumption College-Antipolo, 25-21, 25-9, for an even 2-2 record.

St. Paul College of Makati scored big with a 24-26, 25-23, 27-25 squeaker of a triumph over La Salle College-Antipolo and tied its victim at 5-1 in Group C.
