“Sumbong Bulok, Sumbong Usok” campaign by DoTr lets you report old and dilapidated vehicles via Facebook
Citizen empowerment. We love it.
Old and smoke-belching vehicles, your days are now really numbered.
This as the Department of Transportation is set to launch its “Sumbong Bulok, Sumbong Usok” campaign — a tool where you can report via Facebook.
Launched last Feb. 27, the campaign lets us normal citizens report vehicles that are “no longer road-worthy as well as smoke-belching vehicles, colorum PUVs, illegally parked vehicles and even illegal vendors.
All you have to do is go to their digital hotline — I-ACT Facebook Page.
Post photos as well as videos to help DoTr identify and inspect these old and dilapidated vehicles.
“This chatbot hotline is basically citizen empowerment,” expressed DOTr secretary Arthur Tugade, adding that with this, they will also be ble to track cities or areas with most number of reports and even government agencies who have not been acting on these said reports.
Helping DOTr with processing the complaints are members of the Highway Patrol Group, LTFRB, LTO and the MMDA.
So what are you guys waiting for? Game!
