MANILA – Police on Friday raided the Las Pinas home of a couple accused of selling narcotics.
Armed with a search warrant, authorities raided the house of live-in partners Jericho Tuico and Anabelle Laudit who are allegedly notorious drug pushers in the city.
Police had difficulty breaking into the house in Mapayapa Village, Baragay Pulang Lupa due to the locked gate and door barred with a wooden log and sealed with reinforced locks.
Several sachets of suspected shabu with unidentified quantity and value were recovered from the house.
Las Piñas police chief Senior Superintendent Jemar Modequillo said Tuico and Laudit were earlier placed under surveillance for selling drugs to residents of neighboring cities.
As of writing, search operations at the area were still ongoing.
Police are hoping that illegal drug operations in the area will abate with the arrest of Tuico and Laudit. — Report from Jerome Lantin, ABS-CBN News
