Wonder Woman Block Screening for a cause; Please read on

A group of friends organized a block screening of Wonder Woman as a means of raising funds for their friend who is suffering from cancer.

Hello everyone! We are a group of college friends trying to raise money for our friend Toni who is fighting Spinal Cancer. In 2014, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. However, in 2017, she had a recurrence, and this time, its on her spine. The shock and fears that came with the first diagnosis are also back along with intense pain and mobility challenges. She has difficulty walking and even sitting up is excruciating. We want to raise money so Toni can get immunotherapy treatment at Medical Center Imus under the care of Dr. Chito Abellar. She has two young children ages 8 and 13 (Rhiana and Rafael) who are currently her main caregivers along with her younger sister Bernadeth; her husband works abroad and both her parents have passed away. In one conversation, Toni expressed longing for her parents and sadness over being an orphan while facing this life-threatening condition. We assured her that she is not alone in this fight!

Toni is a beautiful person inside and out, always positive and encouraging to others. In any group of friends, there is always that one person who is constantly trying to keep everybody in touch, planning mini reunions or revisiting beautiful memories. That’s Toni. Loyal, funny, loving, down to earth. The kind of person who deserves a long life in this world for the light and warmth she brings. She deserves to continue enjoying life and see her children grow up. Toni is only 36.

Initially, she did not ask for help to spare others of feelings of sadness and helplessness. But together, we are not helpless! There is strength in numbers. Please help us get Toni to the cancer center and remain there until she is well enough to carryover the treatments at home. Right now, she is undergoing severe pain and is only able to manage with the help of painkillers, her children and sister. She needs to be in a facility with professional caregivers. We are not giving up or walking away from this..love and compassion are stronger than cancer. With your help, our goal is to raise P150K to get her 3 months of treatment. If we can raise more to help cover medications and caregiving expenses, it would be a blessing. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!
